Brand New Features & Enhancements

PMWEB 2026 includes a number of brand new features, as well as a number of enhancements to existing features.

Powerful new AI tools — including AI Assistant (conversational access to live platform data) and AI Document Summarisation (identifying key terms, obligations, dates and flags across contracts, RFIs, submittals and reports, then presenting them for human review). PMWEB's AI Intelligence Control Framework ensures that AI supports decision-making without replacing it. The AI surfaces information, identifies patterns and flags what matters. The user reviews, evaluates and decides.

New Gantt Chart — An all-new scheduling control built for the scale of capital programs. Fast, lightweight and adaptive. Import and link schedules, set multiple baselines, apply advanced settings and export to PDF, Microsoft Project or Excel.

Universal "Take Action" Button — A floating workflow toolbar, available everywhere in the platform, that opens a user's default form and surfaces available workflow options in a single, consistent interaction. Every module. Every record. One gesture to move work forward.

Reinvented BI Reporting Centre — A new reporting experience that surfaces all BI and Power BI reports in a single, filterable, sortable view — with thumbnails for quick identification and a streamlined launch experience. Reporting has always been a strength of PMWEB. This release makes it faster to find, configure and act on.

PMWEB Learn — now complements PMWEB University, providing structured learning paths, on-demand content and certifications designed for every phase of the project lifecycle.

PMWEB version 8.0 features three brand new features, as well as a number of enhancements to existing features and bug fixes.

Adaptive Forms — Configurable dynamic forms that respond to user input and workflow state, enabling more intelligent data capture across project records.

Power BI Reporting integrated into PMWEB reporting — Native Power BI dashboards embedded directly within PMWEB's reporting module, providing richer visual analytics without leaving the platform.

Multi Factor Authentication — Enhanced security for all PMWEB deployments, supporting MFA across browser and mobile access.

PMWEB 7 is optimised to load and run faster on devices large and small, even when managing the huge volume of data that modern projects generate. That applies to every feature in every PMWEB module, not a watered-down subset of field tools — and the new responsive design engine automatically adjusts the entire application to fit the screen you're viewing. Best of all, every feature of PMWEB is available without installing, maintaining, or worrying about, a single app. All you need is a browser and a password to immediately start working with PMWEB 7.

Responsive design — PMWEB 7 automatically detects the device you are using and the orientation of the screen and adapts itself to make best use of the available space.

All new interface — Every page of every record type has been recoded, refreshed, and refined. Screens automatically adapt, vertical line editing on narrow devices, faster performance across the platform.

Redesigned home page — 100% redesigned Project Centre tab, full screen interactive map with spreadsheet overlay, and customisable background image.

Control panel — The menu has been replaced by a responsive, collapsible control panel. Menus open in easy to read, space saving, overlay mode with logically regrouped and sorted choices.

Drag and drop — Drag and drop metaphor supported on every device and platform. Responsive dialogs adapt to device form factors without sacrificing function.

Colours and personalisation — Create your own interface colour scheme. Add a personalised image to the login page. Redesigned My Settings makes personalising PMWEB faster and easier.

PMWEB version 6.0, released in October 2018, contains many new features designed to make the platform easier and even more powerful to use. The star attractions are a thorough update of Visual Workflow as well as the introduction of the PMWEB Mobile app.

Visual Workflow data structure and storage enhancements	Comprehensive update to the workflow engine's data storage architecture.
New "Comment" action for workflow approvers	Approvers can add comments to the workflow log without taking workflow action.
Approvers can add attachments directly to their actions	Approvers can now drag and drop attachments into the Workflow tab as they take action.
Administrators can select which workflow actions are available at each step	For example, they can prevent an approver from rejecting the record by making the Reject action unavailable for the step.
Administrators can customize workflow action labels by step	Change the radio button label "Approve" to "Agreed To", for example.
PMWEB Mobile introduced	Full mobile application for iOS and Android — detailed brochure available.
REST protocol added to PMWEB API	API calls can now be made using both SOAP and REST.
Redesigned Audit Trail page	A filter section has been added to the top of the page. Double click results lines to see transaction details.
Up to 10 Specifications fields in record headers	For each record type, up to 10 Specification fields can be displayed in the header rather than on the Specifications tab.
Custom forms can now feature multiple custom tables	Each custom form can now contain more than one custom table and custom tables can be "locked" with a fixed number of lines.
Export to and paste from Excel added to Budget Requests	Paste to append lines from an Excel spreadsheet to a saved Budget Requests record.
Selectable format for scheduled BI reports	On the Printing Setup tab of BI Reporting you can now select an output format when scheduling a report.
TLS 1.2 now supported	PMWEB now supports the Microsoft TLS 1.2 communication protocol.
"Forgot Your Password" function	Users can click the hyperlink on the log in page and follow steps to change their password without administrative assistance.
Date Formats in Message Templates	When creating message templates, you can modify date tokens to select a date format (6 formats available).
